Really Happy Someday is a 2024 Canadian drama directed by J Stevens. It stars Breton Lalama as Z, a trans man musical theatre actor who struggles with his singing voice after transitioning and must retrain with a vocal coach.
The supporting cast includes Khadijah Roberts-Abdullah, Xavier Lopez, Ali Garrison, Katharine King So, Aisha Evelyna, Lauren Beatty, Perrie Voss, Lior Maharjan, Marley Kajan, and Paloma Nuñez.
The film premiered in the Discovery program at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and later won Best Film at the 2024 Whistler Film Festival's Borsos Competition. Stevens was nominated for the DGC Award for Best Direction in a Feature Film.
